What sizes of safe deposit boxes do you offer and at what prices?


Safebox24 currently offers safe deposit boxes in three sizes. The deposit cassettes are modern, A4 format. The smallest safe deposit box is a size that can fit a little more than a ream of A4 paper. We usually rent the boxes for a period of one year, although shorter and longer rental periods are also available. The prices of safe deposit boxes start from PLN 99 a month for a small box. Where are the Safebox24 vaults?


The first Safebox24 vault is located in the center of Warsaw, at Plac Konstytucji – 49A Koszykowa Street, 00-659 Warsaw. We are located inside the patio, in a revitalized tenement house. The location chosen for the vault provides our clients with excellent access, many parking options together with the possibility of entering the underground car park of the tenement house during our office working hours.More Safebox24 vaults will be built in 2021 in selected cities in Poland. We are currently working on a vault in Kraków, Łódź and Gdańsk. The exact locations of these objects will be announced soon.




How can I rent a Safebox24 safe deposit box?


You can pre-book a safe deposit box on our website www.safebox24.pl or by phone. Then our staff will arrange a convenient meeting with you to sign the lease agreement and give you access to the Safebox24 vault and a safe deposit box.

Signing the lease agreement is associated with the identification of each client with a valid identity document (ID card / passport) and providing detailed contact details (address, contact telephone number and e-mail address).

In most cases, the signing of the contract and granting access to the Safebox24 vault and the safe deposit box takes place immediately. However, we reserve the right to refuse to sign a rental agreement with the client due to internal procedures, without giving the reason for such a decision.




What can I keep in my safe deposit box?


You can store items and things in accordance with the "Terms and conditions for the rental of safe deposit boxes", in particular savings, souvenirs, documents, security copies, jewelry, precious metals as well as weapons without ammunition.

The list of items that cannot be stored in a vault includes, but is not limited to explosives and ammunition, drugs, food, liquids. A detailed list of prohibited items can be found in the "Terms and conditions for the rental of safe deposit boxes".




What are the detailed lease conditions for a Safebox24 deposit box?

What is the access to the vault and the Safebox24 safe deposit box?


Access to the vault is granted using an encrypted biometric key. After signing the contract, each of our clients is biometrically identified (hand and face biometrics) and on this basis, access to the vault and the Safebox24 safe deposit box is granted. The biometric key cannot be forged and cannot be lost or forgotten. The biometrics that have been implemented in the facility are certified, among others by the FBI and is used in the most demanding security facilities in the world.




Can I, as a Safebox24 customer, authorize other people to my safe deposit box?


Yes, access to the safe deposit box can be obtained by proxies indicated by the Safebox24 customer. In the case of individuals, two additional proxies can be appointed for the safe deposit box. In the case of companies, the number of proxies is limited to 5 persons. The power of attorney to the safe deposit box is given by the Customer in writing. Each proxy undergoes the identification procedure using a valid identity document (ID card / passport) and provides detailed contact details (address, contact telephone number and e-mail address). On the basis of the power of attorney, access to the Safebox24 vault and a safe deposit box is granted.

Please note that proxies have the same access to the vault and the safe deposit box as its owner.

In justified cases, a special power of attorney may be submitted, giving access to the locker in non-standard situations - e.g. in the event of death.




Does Safebox24 as a depository have access to my safe deposit box and know its contents?


The contents of the safe-deposit box are known only to the owner of the safe-box and any proxies appointed by the owner.

After the biometric key is assigned to the safe deposit box, only the owner of the box and any authorized persons, i.e., proxies, have access to the box.

In case of emergency, the depositary operates according to the emergency deposit box opening procedures described in the "Terms and conditions for the rental of safe deposit boxes". This is a rigorous procedure in the presence of a notary public, subject to video recording.




Is it possible to make a deposit in the Safebox24 vault in confidentiality and discretion?


Confidentiality and discretion are one of the priorities of the Safebox24 facilities. There is a discreet room in each Safebox24 vault, where you can make a deposit in complete discretion and confidentiality, without third parties and camera monitoring.




How can I pay for the rental of a safe-deposit box?


You can pay for the box in cash or with a credit/debit card. In the case of companies, it is also possible to pay by bank transfer. In the case of extending the lease agreement, we allow the possibility of paying by bank transfer both by individuals and companies. In order to maintain the confidentiality and discretion of our clients, we try to limit the sending of documents related to the rental of the box to a minimum and we do it only at the client's request.




How can I extend or terminate the lease of a safe-deposit box?


The rental agreement is concluded for a definite period without the possibility of terminating the agreement. In the event of the approaching termination of the lease, we contact our client about 2 weeks before the end of the contract to confirm the termination of the contract or its extension. The extension takes the form of an annex to the contract for the next period indicated by the Customer.

In the event of a delay with the decision to extend the contract by the customer, the safe deposit box will be blocked until the contract is extended or empty and any costs are covered by the customer.

In most cases, the extension of the safe-deposit box agreement is immediate. However, we reserve the right to refuse to extend the lease agreement with the client due to internal procedures, without giving the reason for such a decision.




What happens to the safe deposit box and its contents if I die?


The depository provides the safe deposit box to the heirs after presenting the Customer's death certificate and a legally binding court decision confirming the acquisition of the inheritance or notarizing the inheritance certificate. The depository is not liable to the Client's heirs for changes to the contents of the safe deposit box made by the client's proxies. Detailed rules in this situation are described in the "Terms and conditions for the rental of safe deposit boxes".




How do you ensure the safety of items stored in Safebox24 deposit boxes?


The safety of the deposit box and its contents is carried out at several levels in Safebox24 facilities. Physical security is provided in the form of a modern, certified high-security vault room with 24-hour physical protection and intervention groups. Our facilities are additionally equipped with the latest technologies allowing for constant monitoring of the facility, identification of each user and recording all activity in the vault.

Safebox24 operates according to rigorous safety procedures, employs highly qualified personnel, ensuring professional quality of service, safety and discretion.

Regardless of the above aspects, Safebox24 has a number of insurance policies that protect customers' safe deposit boxes and their contents, vault facilities and depositary activities.




Do you have insurance policies? Is my box insured?


Yes, Safebox24 has a number of insurance policies that protect customers' lockers and their contents, vault facilities and depository activities.

As one of the few companies in Poland, we offer individual insurance for each safe deposit box without revealing the contents, against all risks. Currently, the customer is obliged to purchase a policy covering a deposit box with a limit of PLN 10,000.00. It is an insurance against all risks. The customer may raise this limit to PLN 50,000.00 or PLN 100,000.00 or PLN 250,000.00 for an additional fee.

In excess of PLN 250,000.00, the customer may insure the contents of the box, but will have to disclose its contents and present a reliable valuation. After being insured, each box receives an insurance certificate for a specified amount and period. Ergo Hestia is the insurer of vaults and deposit activity of Safebox24.




Is treasury and deposit activity regulated and does Safebox24 have the necessary permits to conduct this activity?


Yes, treasury and deposit operations in Poland are regulated by the Act of March 1, 2018 on counteracting money laundering and terrorist financing and is supervised by the Ministry of Finance and the General Inspectorate of Financial Information. Idealbox Sp. z o.o. as the owner of the Safebox24 brand, it is an entity that has been notified to the Ministry of Finance and has the status of an obligated institution.
